Virtual production studio in Dubai
Sets, worlds, light and camera moves built in the studio, combined with live performance where the film needs it, for commercials and brand films across the GCC.

The set is built, not found
A location shoot finds the world and works around it: the weather, the permit, the traffic, the hour the light is right. A virtual production studio in Dubai builds the world and controls it. At baeQ that world is built through our AI pipeline: the street, the desert road, the hotel lobby, the 13th-century battlefield, lit and dressed to the director's board, with camera moves that no crane or drone could fly. Live performance is combined with those worlds where a brief needs a real face, a real hand or a real pour.
We are filmmakers first. The writers, directors and cinematographers who plan a conventional shoot plan these productions too; the difference is where the set comes from. The method behind every piece in our work is described on the studio page, and the trade-offs against a location shoot are set out in the journal.
Full Production Support →Virtual production versus the location shoot
On location the schedule is set by the sun and the permit. Dubai's Film and TV Commission issues permits for public locations and many well-known sites need separate approvals, so a two-day shoot can take weeks to clear and a sandstorm can cost a day. In the studio the hour never changes, the road is empty when the script says it is, and a camera can start inside the car and end above the skyline in one move. See Car Chase and Western for what that looks like at film grade.
What does not change is the discipline. A production still begins with a script and a board; a director still chooses the lens, the height and the pace of every shot; an editor, a colourist and a sound designer still finish the film. A virtual production studio in Dubai removes the dependencies of the world, not the craft of filming it. For automotive and commercial work, that is where most of the time and budget used to go.

Virtual production is the right answer when the location is the problem: it is abroad, it does not exist yet, it is dangerous, it is a different century, or it has to look the same across thirty variations of one spot. It suits vehicle films, product launches, property that is still a drawing, brand films that travel across the GCC, and any campaign that needs every format and language from one production. Most commercials run 2–6 weeks from approved concept to delivery.
It is the wrong answer when the brief is the moment: a documentary scene, a live sporting event, a founder speaking in their own office, a real crowd. Then a shoot is the better route, and we say so in the first conversation. Many briefs sit in between, and a hybrid production, live performance combined with studio-built worlds, is where a virtual production studio in Dubai earns its keep. Snow Leopard is one example of a world no crew could have waited for.

Send the brief you would send any production company: the idea, the audience, where the film will run and when it has to be ready. A producer replies within two working days with a treatment, a timeline and a quote, and says plainly whether the brief belongs in the studio, on location or in a hybrid. The director then boards the film, the worlds and shots are built and refined to film grade, and the finish is done by hand.
We are based in Dubai and produce for brands, agencies and marketing teams across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC, with selected projects further afield. If you are comparing a virtual production studio in Dubai with a location-based house, the fairest test is the work: watch the films, then send us the same brief or book a consultation.
